Description:
Suspend mode does not work anymore after yesterday's update: I can't come back to normal mode, and I'm forced to reboot.
It does not work anymore in X, neither in console.

Additional info:

kernel26 2.6.29-4
xf86-video-intel 2.6.99.902-2
xorg-server 1.6.0-2

* config and/or log files etc.
/sys/module/i915/parameters/modeset is at -1

.suspend
.try to resume to normal mode

I realized that the problem occurs also when I close my laptop…
I tried to register to http://bugzilla.kernel.org but it did not work ("internal problem" :(). If you have the same problem, maybe you could report the bug yourself?

I tried with the KMS mode and the problem disappered. But there was another major problem: everything in X was very very slow.

Yes, KMS has speed problems (or for some, performance is also bad without KMS). But for me, suspending also works without KMS iirc, didn't try in a while.

There is another problem: as soon as I start X, I cannot switch back to a console :-(
With KMS, it works.

After an update of:
testing/xorg-server 1.6.0-3 (xorg)
testing/xf86-video-intel 2.6.3-3 (xorg-video-drivers)

everything works fine :-)
So it was probably a problem with X.
In my case the bug is solved and can be closed.
