Details

Description:
The module slamr loads without error, but /dev/slamr0 is not created.

Problem has been raised in the forum but not resolved

Additional info:
* package version(s) extra/slmodem 2.9.11-44
* config and/or log files etc.


Steps to reproduce:
install slmodem (also installed slmodem-utils)
insert module slamr0 and check for /dev/slamr0

bash-3.2# modprobe slamr
bash-3.2# ls /dev/sl*
ls: cannot access /dev/sl*: No such file or directory

slamr 0000:00:1f.6: setting latency timer to 64
slamr: mc97 codec is SIL27
slamr: slamr0 is ICH card.

same with kernel 2.6.29 and slmodem 2.9.11-45?
