I cannot reproduce this problem. Could you check if this also happens with a new user? Do you have any third-party packages installed?

if I create a new user, it works, so it has to be a specific config problem. I've tried to remove the ~/.designer folder and reinstall qt package, but on my user I always get a segfault. Any idea? thanks for your help

With a new user is also faster to find the files used/created by the program.
Just an example: ~/.config/Trolltech/Designer.conf

I've tried to delete/clean all config file, but it was still crashing. Now I installed qtmod 4.5.0-4 and it starts fine. Very weird
