DetailsDescription:
I updated my system and after logging into X my keyboard and mouse failed to work. After some looking around I noticed hal was segfaulting soon after start. The error before the segfault was: "CRITICAL: hal_property_get_string: assertion `prop-type == HAL_PROPERTY_TYPE_STRING' failed" I then started downgrading and upgrading individual packages to nail it down to kernel26 Additional info: The attached file is the only policy I use for hal, beside that it is as provided by the package. hal 0.5.11-7 hal-info 0.20081219-1 Steps to reproduce: Update kernel26 to 2.6.28.8-1 Reboot Watch hal fail to start |
