DetailsDescription:
The same as I described before, but somebody closed the bug while I was afk -.- . Anyway, I just cant start my GIMP. Arch x86-64. (this happened first on i686 arch.. but in the morning I reinstalled my pc). Additional info: * package version(s) > http://pastebin.com/m23c7ddf * config and/or log files etc. No special configs.. Steps to reproduce: Start gimp? There was a requestion about gdb: [shiki@ayanami ~]$ gdb GNU gdb 6.8 Copyright (C) 2008 Free Software Foundation, Inc. License GPLv3+: GNU GPL version 3 or later <http://gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html> This is free software: you are free to change and redistribute it. There is NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by law. Type "show copying" and "show warranty" for details. This GDB was configured as "x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu". (gdb) file gimp Reading symbols from /usr/bin/gimp...(no debugging symbols found)...done. (gdb) So.. any idea? (Google said I have to compile Gimp with -g , but I just installed it with Pacman. Should I recompile it from AUR with -g ?) |

Also, if you want to debug something with gdb you have to actually run it.
gimp -n
(-n as in 'new instance'). Don't ask me why I have to use this method ... I cant 'killall gimp'.. so beats me. Any idea?
