DetailsDescription:
ECB doesn't working after last cedet update (to 1.0pre6) Additional info: * package version(s) cedet 1.0pre6-1 ecb 2.32-3 * config and/or log files etc. Warning (initialization): An error occurred while loading `~/.emacs': error: ECB 2.32 - Error: Please fix the reported problem and restart Emacs! To ensure normal operation, you should investigate and remove the cause of the error in your initialization file. Start Emacs with the `--debug-init' option to view a complete error backtrace. ==== Currently ECB can not be activated cause of the following reason: ECB has been byte-compiled with another semantic-version than currently loaded into Emacs: + Semantic used for byte-compiling ECB: 2.0pre4 + Semantic currently loaded into Emacs: 2.0pre6 Please ensure that ECB is byte-compiled with the same semantic-version as you you load into your Emacs. Check if you have byte-compiled ECB with the cedet- suite but loaded old semantic 1.X into Emacs or vice versa. In general it is recommended to start ECB first-time not byte-compiled and then call the command `ecb-byte-compile'. This ensures you byte-compile ECB with the same library-versions (semantic etc.) as you load into Emacs. If you use the Makefile check the variables CEDET, SEMANTIC, EIEIO and SPEEDBAR before compiling! Please fix the reported problem and restart Emacs |
