DetailsDescription:
After updating to the latest version of compiz fusion (8.2.1) emerald no longer starts. I have tried loading fusion-icon from a terminal window as a regular user and nothing happens (no errors or anything). I have tried completely removing the entire home folder for the user and still nothing. I have also tried reinstalling which hasn't fixed anything. Other users have reported the same issue so it leads me to believe that it is not only me who is affected by this bug. The forum post in regards to this bug can be found here--> http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=67809 Additional info: * package version(s) compiz fusion 0.8.2.1 emerald 0.8.2.1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: I have tried reformatting and installing compiz-fusion from sctrach a la the wiki instructions yet I receive the same issue. This is the first bug I have ever submitted so I am sorry if this post isn't as pretty as I'd like it to be. |

FS#13926None of the plugins is enabled by default somehow which means that you get no window decoration. Enabling the 'window decorations' plugin, as well as the windows moving and resizing plugins and maybe some others should get the window decoration to work.
I close this now, please re-open if above does not work for you. Further discussion on above at
