Have you red the install message? Relogin done and have you tried all wiki hints?

What desktop is this?

I guess this is because of the KDE interface. Any non-GTK VCL is broken in OpenOffice. This is broken by design it seems, as this critical error has been there since the beginning. It's just that glib 2.14 made these things completely fatal by locking up when they appear.

Yes. With OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome the error doesn't occur.
