DetailsDescription:
The GNOME keyboard applet behaves strangely. I have two languages set and I can't switch them by clicking on the applet icon in the panel. I can, however, switch them using keyboard shortcuts. The applet icon does not reflect the selected language. The bug is around for quite some time, I don't know when did it emerge. Maybe it was due to the new X.org? Additional info: * package version(s) GNOME 2.24.1 * config and/or log files etc. ? Steps to reproduce: Add a keyboard indicator applet to your panel. Set multiple keyboard layouts. Try to switch among them. |
This task depends upon
The shortcuts work fine, but the applet itself seems to be totally out.
There are other strange behaviours, too with keyboard. It might show Swe for Swedish, but still it types USA, so I have to go to Groups and make an extra click on Swe.
I cannot find any option in Preferences to automatically save changes to gnome-session any more. Maybe the gnome-session pkg is yet not made or maybe it is borked or "automatized".
Anyway, IT WORKS now...
