what error do you get?
does a depmod -a solve your issue?
Comment by Francesco (PJF) - Friday, 13 March 2009, 18:32 GMT
The X errore says:
(EE) Failed to load module "type1" (module does not exist, 0)
FATAL: Module nvidia not found
(EE) NVIDIA(0); Failed to load the NVIDIA kernel module!
(EE) NVIDIA(0): **Aborting**

I've seen a few similar cases on irc, try to reproduce the error, and if you manage to do so, run depmod -a, and then try to load the module.

So, I should run pacman -Syu, then reboot, depmod -a and pacman -S nvidia?

It works! Solved with depmod -a.

@tpowa: Is this closable? Is the depmod -a call fixed in svn?
