Yes, in ls -v "sort by version" problem with hidden files

For example:

(with coreutils-7.1)
$ touch .0 .9 .a .z .A .Z 0 9 a z A Z
$ /bin/ls -va
. .A .Z .a .z 0 9 A Z a z .0 .9 ..

(with coreutils-6.12)
$ touch .0 .9 .a .z .A .Z 0 9 a z A Z
$ /bin/ls -va
. .. .0 .9 .A .Z .a .z 0 9 A Z a z

You can see here the original bug report here
http://groups.google.com/group/linux.debian.bugs.dist/browse_thread/thread/c08e348de5c9fd02
And a patch here (for GIT.version) http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lib.gnulib.bugs/16902

I can fix the the posted here, to apply againt coreutils-7.1 if any are interested in solve this.

Tested, now work OK, like ls from coreutils 6.12 ;)

$ ls --version
ls (GNU coreutils) 7.1
$ ls -av
./ ../ .0 .9 .A .Z .a .z 0 9 A Z a z

I'm not going to patch this minor issue. It will be fixed in the next release that should soon be released.
