DetailsDescription:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=66911 Nobody replied, hence I see this as a matter for flyspray. Additional info: * xfce-utils 4.6.0-1 * /etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc - see fix below Steps to reproduce: - Start Xfce 4.6. Netstat should show xfce4-session to listen to a TCP port. In my opinion it would be of benefit to either make xfce4-session not listen to TCP by default or provide it as an option (conf.d). Modifying the xinitrc and changing the xfce4-session relevant code to contain $xfcesm --disable-tcp allowed me to have all my ports closed again. This might be a security risk. I am successfully running with --disable-tcp and I have no problems - listening to a tcp port was not required in previous versions of xfce4-sessions either. Obviously it is possible to always modify the xinitrc when xfce is installed, however I believe it is not the proper solution and other users (that do not go about running netstat -ap all the time) may benefit from this as well. |
