Description:

There are two dependencies missing for the package "icewm-utils": the icewm utilities need "gvim" and "pyqt3" which are not installed automatically when installing "icewm-utils".

Steps to reproduce:

Install "icewm-utils" and try to start "icecurcfg".

maybe using optdepends would be better than depends.

I'm new to Arch, but when I install a package I expect that the installed programs run after I've installed them. Without pyqt3 and gvim the programs do not run. So for me that's a clear dependency (none-optional). Why else should I install the icewm-utils if not in order to run them? ;-)

I mentionned it because icewm-utils contains several utilities. For users who don't specifically use the icecurcfg utility, the gvim and pyqt3 (with their respective dependencies) are huge dependencies. If icewm-utils would only contain icecurcfg, then it would be a dependency. I don't know what this package contains so if icecurcfg is the main reason people use this package than a depends might make more sense that an optdepends. Anyway, it's up to the maintainer's decision.

Ah, ok fair enough. I understand. It's three utility apps (one being icecurcfg) out of seven or so that do not work wthout gvim and pyqt3. We'll see.
