Description:

Because of the recent problem with extra/openjdk6 ( FS#13626 ), I wanted to recompile the previous version of the package. Downloaded verion from the SVN repo, rolled back once to the 1.4-2 release, and tried makepkg. After running for a while, makepkg fails with this line:

Linking vm...
collector2: ld exited with signal 9 [killed]
[some more make messages]
Linking launcher...
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ljvm
collector2: ld exited with signal 1

Additional info:
* 1.4-2 (svn r27021) and 1.4.1-1 (current) are definitely not compiling
* tried with java-runtime of community/jdk, java-gcj-compat or openjdk6 1.4.1-1 installed, all the same error.

Steps to reproduce:
Download source from svn:
svn checkout -N svn://archlinux.org/srv/svn-packages
svn update openjdk6
(optionally roll back to r27021)
makekpkg
... then wait...

I wonder why your ld process was killed by kill -9 actually.

I checked it once more, to have a more detailed error report --- proper duh moment: previously even if df reported that i have a few hundred MBs left, actually it run out of space, that's why ld died, and with it the rest of the compilation...
sorry about it.... :/
