DetailsThe packages libdrm and glproto should both be in the makedepends for the xorg-server package, otherwise makepkg is aborted in the configuration phase with the following error message:
checking for GL... configure: error: Package requirements (glproto >= 1.4.9 gl >= 7.1.0) were not met: No package 'glproto' found Package libdrm was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libdrm.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'libdrm', required by 'gl', not found The package libdrm should be in the depends section because without it the modules dri and dri2 can not be loaded. The following is from the relevant section of Xorg.0.log: (II) LoadModule: "dri" (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions//libdri.so dlopen: libdrm.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (EE) Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions//libdri.so (II) UnloadModule: "dri" (EE) Failed to load module "dri" (loader failed, 7) (II) LoadModule: "dri2" (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions//libdri2.so dlopen: libdrm.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (EE) Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions//libdri2.so (II) UnloadModule: "dri2" (EE) Failed to load module "dri2" (loader failed, 7) Installing libdrm solves this problem. |

I guess you're an nvidia user, then you don't need dri and dri2 anyways, as Nvidia replaces the whole DRI subsystem with their own binary interface.
