Description:
scorched3d refuses to start. it complains that libopenal.so.0 is not found, ldd /usr/bin/scorched3dc confirms this. The latest version of openal is 1.6.372-1, which I have installed, and contains /usr/lib/libopenal.so.1. Please rebuild. Im on x86_64, it may or may not also exist on i686

It needs to be udpated to the new version anyway and is marked out of date in the AUR. Bugs on out of date pkgs is a bit naughty but thanks for the heads up on this specific issue.

I'm trying to build the new version but it is complaining about openal-config not being found. Our openal pkg doesn't seem to provide openal-config, and I wonder if openal-config is now obsolete.

Anyway, I can't check the scorched site from work, maybe there are answers there. However, I have a hunch that scorched3d is not compatible with our version of openal in it's current format.

OK, I had to cheese a load of patches from gentoo. Tested, working and uploading.
