Details
start with coreutils since that is going to be rebuilt
anyway with the new bash/readline(?)
if i am correct archlinux doesn't have a policy to not include info documentation anymore right? i just checked out the gnu info documentation and BOY should i have done that sooner. it's SOOO much better than the manpages. the gnu projects manpages are intentionally bad it seems, probably because they want everyone to move to info... Soo wish i had checked out the infopages efore. |

FS#3459...@nut543: We're working on it. We didn't make a push to rebuild all packages for the doc change, assuming they would slowly trickle in - any specific packages you are looking for? A list would be appreciated - if they don't update often we could do a simple rebuild just to get docs in there
if i find specific packages i'll post them here. it'll have to wait until tomorrow though, now i go to bed.
then there's the coreutils and bash.
grep
A not exhaustive list of core packages:
gawk (very fine piece of documentation with a really good section about regular expressions)
make (3 votes in
FS#13113)sed
wget
coreutils
findutils
gzip
flex
cpio
sed
For example, you could have forced the installation of a package that wrongly included this file.
sed
Either you just put a list of important packages here, as adoroo did, and this bug gets assigned to all maintainers, or you just open a separate bug for each package.
In the first case, this list should probably be put in the original report, and updated there, otherwise it could be difficult to parse all the comments.
Only flex (not GNU) hasn't been updated and, being a mature softare, is slowly developed. I think it worths a separate bug report.
FS#13924.Can this task be closed? Has anyone found other (GNU) packages missing the info pages?
