Description:
I received the following error message when using tdb 3.3.0-1: nmblookup: error while loading shared libraries: libtdb.so.1: This message also followed nmbd, smbd and windbindd. It turns out that the latest TDB causes everything to mess up as if the .so.1 file doesn't exist, or doesn't load correctly. It affects samba and lan networking in a big way. I had to uninstall it and then select the older version before getting things working again. I'm glad to give any other information if you tell me how to gather it. Thanks. Additional info: * package version(s) tdb 3.3.0-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Boot and note problems loading daemons. Open terminal and try to manually load. Error message appears. |

I hope someone can fix this.
Thanks.
FS#13401is the problemAlso, if that is the problem, why was the package not fixed and allowed to be put in the mainstream repos? Anyone know who is supposed to watch this sort of thing? It was a real pain in the you-know-what to find the correct files and downgrade it to work again.
(Which also makes one wonder where the darn archives are kept.)
Does a reinstall of the package solve your issue?
When reports are closed as fixed, please specify the version it is fixed in.
It turns out that upgrading to 3.3.1-1 solves the problem, so I guess it is fixed. Please go ahead and close it as you see fit.
Thanks again to all who worked on it.
