Considering you're syncing from an alternate source, we now have a "Tier 2" mirror here - Dan, do we have a concept for this in your DB model?

We don't have a concept for tier 2- would this be useful?

Anyway, I have added this mirror, IP, and admin contact to our mirrorlist, so it should show up on the downloads page today.

You should have rsync access now to rsync.archlinux.org if you want to sync from there.

how many times a day should i rsync from rsync.archlinux.org? every 12 hours, 4 hours, 1 hour?

thanks :)

Every 4 to 6 hours wouldn't be a bad idea, as rsync is cheap if nothing needs to be transferred. I would pick a random minute to sync on if at all possible, as the top of the hour is bound to be busy.
