Description:
I am using gdm as a login manager from rc.conf. It seems it is using an english keyboard layout (qwerty) but I have a german keyboard layout (qwertz) that is configured right in the xorg.conf. Everywhere I can use a german layout except gdm. Looks like debian SID has the same problem:

I looked in my pacman log and found only the following:
[2009-01-14 16:11] installed gdm (2.20.9-1)

I used kdm for the last three weeks, but before that, gdm worked fine.
I looked a bit around in pacman.log but there was no suspicious update the last time.
Okay, no update that catch my eye ;-) I attach the pacman.log since 2009-01-14.

Try to downgrade libxi to the previous version.

Yeah, good shot! libxi-1.1.4-1 solved the problem.

I can't find a duplicate, this bug is #13361 and the duplicate should be the same #13361? The bug is still there in the current libxi
