Description:
After last upgrade of xf86-input-keyboard gnome has problem with keyboard layout switching.
I upgraded today this packages (according to pacman.log):

[2009-02-14 14:48] upgraded virtualbox_bin (2.1.0-1 -> 2.1.2-1)
[2009-02-14 14:48] upgraded xcb-util (0.3.2-1 -> 0.3.3-1)
[2009-02-14 14:48] upgraded xf86-input-evdev (2.1.0-1 -> 2.1.2-1)
[2009-02-14 14:48] upgraded xf86-input-keyboard (1.3.1-1 -> 1.3.2-1)
[2009-02-14 14:48] upgraded xine-lib (1.1.16.1-2 -> 1.1.16.2-1)
[2009-02-14 14:48] upgraded xkeyboard-config (1.4-2 -> 1.5-1)
[2009-02-14 14:48] upgraded xorg-xinit (1.1.0-1 -> 1.1.1-1)
[2009-02-14 14:48] upgraded xterm (239-1 -> 241-1)
[2009-02-14 14:48] upgraded xtrans (1.2.2-1 -> 1.2.3-1)

Problem is if i have in gnome keyboard applet it refuses switch layout.
Additional problem is that this upgrade breaks keyboard shortcuts (at last in gnome).
If you will try to switch layout via setxkbmap applet changes layout but some applications (at last gnome-terminal) will ignore this layout.

Additional info:
Package versions:
xf86-input-evdev 2.1.2-1
xf86-input-keyboard 1.3.2-1
xkeyboard-config 1.5-1

Steps to reproduce:
Install Gnome DE, add keyboard switching applet to panel, add additional layouts (in my case it is us and sk), try to switch layout via shortcut or clicking applet.
Try to switch layout with setxkbmap to observer what is going on.
This task depends upon

New info:
I rebooted moved my xorg.conf from /etc/X11 and layout switching now works but keyboard applet do not show new layout.
I think we need to recompile keyboard stuff from DE against new libs and xorg.
