Description:
After updating to the new libX11 every time I start an X program I recieve the error message: Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0". There has been one freedesktop.org mailing list posting on this: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg/2008-October/039131.html It looks like it's not a serious problem, just an error message caused by the extension not existing in the xserver. Mainly just a nuisance. Additional info: xorg-server 1.5.3-4 libx11 1.1.99.2-2 Steps to reproduce: Upgrade to newest libX11 from testing and run a graphical program from a virtual terminal |
