Description:
After updating to the new libX11 every time I start an X program I recieve the error message:
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".

There has been one freedesktop.org mailing list posting on this: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg/2008-October/039131.html

It looks like it's not a serious problem, just an error message caused by the extension not existing in the xserver. Mainly just a nuisance.

Additional info:
xorg-server 1.5.3-4
libx11 1.1.99.2-2

Steps to reproduce:
Upgrade to newest libX11 from testing and run a graphical program from a virtual terminal
