Hi,

after installing apps by pacman - ktorrent for example its icon isn't automaticaly added to KDE4 menu until I logout and login again. Strange thing is I launched ktorrent from commandline right after installation and it doesn't saw plugins. I had to relogin and problems gone. It looks something isn't automaticaly refreshed. Some time ago (with 4.1) I didn't have such problems.

Steps to reproduce:

For me installing applications and they won't appear in K menu until I relogin.

P.S. I don't know if this matters, but I installed Arch Linux using archlinux-2009.02-RC2-core-x86_64.iso. I didn't have any problems with installation so it's probably not the case.

Standard. I think the problem is with kbuildsycoca4 like described in this thread:

This is a known bug and will be fixed in KDE 4.2.1 (ETA: end of february)
