Hi,

Can glitz be enabled by default in the cairo library? There's a version of cairo in AUR, named "cairo-wglitz", which is required by the AUR cairo-dock package. It seems that the only difference between the main cairo package and cairo-wglitz is the addition of "--enable-glitz" to the ./configure command line of cairo.

Here's the AUR PKGBUILD file for cairo-wglitz:

Thanks,
Mark.

glitz is not even in extra, so expect a wont implement. Unless its important in future versions.

glitz is an experimental backend in cairo. Glitz used to be a hot item when XGL was the only way to get OpenGL compositing, but after AIGLX became the standard the project had a silent death. The last release of glitz is over 2 years old. I don't like to include an obsolete library into the dependency tree of every GTK application.
