Like the subject says: text files that I'm editing with Kedit are converting leading tabs into spaces when I save the file (1 space for each tab).

This may actually be an upstream KDE bug and not an Arch one, but I don't know for sure. According to some responses on my local LUG mailing list, a guy running Gentoo also sees the problem, while a guy running Debian does not. (Which leads me to believe that this could be an Arch/Gentoo-specific issue.)

We know Arch and Gentoo are up to date, are you sure the debian fellow is running a version from this decade? Maybe the kde developers changed it upstream and the debian version is just older.

Actually, I just got an email from the Debian guy: he just upgraded to KDE3.3 and now he's seeing it too. Shut this one down - it's an upstream bug.
