Description:

Certain applets (like the Facebook Photo Uploader) require liveconnect and it's not activated in the current Arch Linux package.

Fix:

configure with "--enable-liveconnect" in the PKGBUILD actually fix this (tried on my own)

cannot confirm this. x86_64 here and I can upload to facebook. liveconnect plugin is the default one and configure.log says it's used not the gcj one.

what architecture are you running? can you check /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk/jre/lib/rt.jar for netscape classes? there should be:

netscape/javascript/JSException.class
netscape/javascript/JSObject.class
netscape/javascript/JSProxy.class
netscape/javascript/JSRunnable.class
netscape/javascript/JSUtil.class

i686 here, I already checked for those classes and they're there, both with the Arch package and mine...

pleae test the coming 1.4-2 pkg and if it still fails export ICEDTEAPLUGIN_DEBUG=yes && firefox to get some usefull output. for me it works.

Ok. 1.4-2 does work. (to be sure I re-tested 1.4-1 and it doesn't)
