DetailsDescription: Any application calling timidity++ crashes unless running with root privileges, i.e. sudo, root, or set suid bit.
Additional info:Fresh install of Arch x86_64 all updated, running KDE 4.2 DE Timidity++ configured with eawpatch and testing various applications from AUR using Timidity++ for sound. * package version(s) Timidity++ 2.13.2-8 and timidity-eawpatches 12-7 * config and/or log files etc. No log files are generated, just crashes silently with a program aborted message. Steps to reproduce: Install Arch including timidity and a program that calls timidity like vavoom-sdl and run as a regular user. |

Try using gdb or strace to get more output.
