Description:
When using the virtualbox additions for seamless mouse, SMB mounts, etc I've run into a bug. Using kernel 2.6.28.3-1 and VirtualBox 2.1.2 I cannot insert the vboxadd module.

when running "sudo modprobe vboxadd" I get the following:
FATAL: Error inserting vboxadd (/lib/modules/2.6.28-ARCH/misc/vboxadd.ko): No such device

I've tried this on two different machines one x86 and another x86_64. Both give the same error.

Additional info:
This occurs with both the ose and peul builds on all architectures.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Install the VirtualBox additions package any way you like
2) modprobe vboxadd

Hi,

Can't reproduce this.

I using virtualbox_bin 2.1.2. Inside the vm with (Arch32) 2.6.28.3-1 and 2.6.27.14 (custom kernel) in the real machine (Arch32)

The vbox adds installed without problems.

You can try to recompile manualy,

cd /usr/src/vboxadd-2.1.2
make clean
make
make install

and the same for vboxvfs.
