DetailsRight now it's a bit confusing. Example follows:
"hmm there is a kde package called extramod.." $ pacman -Ss extragear "hmm it's not here??" (some minutes later after browsing kde ftp) $ pacman -Ss skanlite extra/skanlite 0.2-5 (kde-extragear) Image Scanning Application for KDE "??" $ p -S kde-extragear kde-extragear package not found, searching for group... :: group kde-extragear (including ignored packages): < (btw, don't know what is meant with ´ignored´ packages there?) kcoloredit kfax kgrab kgraphviewer kiconedit kio_gopher kmldonkey konq-plugins kopete-cryptography kpovmodeler skanlite :: Install whole content? [Y/n] So would it be possibe to search package groups aswell? If it is possible to install a package group it should be possible to search for it too! Sat it to medium because this could cause confusion(it did for me!) |

$ pacman -Ql kde-extragear
error: package "kde-extragear" not found
which is equally confusing.
on the backend side it can be as it is currently, however, to add two new pacman flags wouldn't be needed on the frontend if one was able to interact with package groups like any other package!
