DetailsI noticed the kernel parameter CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_DEBUG is enabled in the .config of the 2.6.8.1 kernel. This causes excessive logging in /var/log/kernel: after copying some big files from/to my external USB HD my /var/log/kernel file is about 450MB. While copying these files klogd and syslogd use 40-50% CPU.
