IMO bluez should be an optional dependency for claws mail. I bet that most of the claws users won't use it. They don't even have, like me, the hardware for using it. :)

bluez is a dependency for pilot-link, not claws-mail directly

Yeah, you're right. Sorry for that.

In that case pilot-link should be optional. But the reasons are still the same, i don't think that many people own a palm and connect it with claws mail.

when you don't install bluez claws will not start. the claws's binary is linked to it. it makes sense to have palm support in every mail client. but if you don't want it feel free to abs claws and rebuild without the palm/bluez support.
