Would you also add it to the official mirror list ?

This mirror has DNS problems since a few days. Igor, could you have a look at this?
Comment by igor (igor) - Friday, 06 February 2009, 14:24 GMT
We haven't noticed such problem. It could be an apache problem since we are having over 10k requests per second, but we fixed that yesterday (so it can take more).
It has downloads in its statistics every day.

Ok, maybe it's only a problem here from Germany (from where i do mirror checking).
IP address of archlinux.igor.onlinedirect.bg couldn't be resolved from here.

I could ping the IP above direct, but also get no hostname resolved.
Comment by igor (igor) - Friday, 06 February 2009, 14:36 GMT
Interesting, we will monitor the DNS to see if anything is wrong.
Thank you for the info.

By the way does the problem still persist ?
Comment by Gerhard Brauer (GerBra) - Friday, 06 February 2009, 14:40 GMT
Yes, but i asked a other guy here (with an other ISP) and he could resolve the hostname.
So it's mostly a problem from my ISP DNS, maybe not correctly synced. I try to add an other DNS Server.
Comment by Gerhard Brauer (GerBra) - Friday, 06 February 2009, 14:58 GMT
Ok, FYI: i could resolve it from a DNS Server by a other big ISP here (Arcor):
dig @145.253.2.11 archlinux.igor.onlinedirect.bg
but not from my ISP's DNS-Server (T-Online, also a big ISP):
dig @217.237.150.51 archlinux.igor.onlinedirect.bg

I notice this problem since 2-3 days, during this time the DNS-Servers normally should have syned their tables...

This resolves for me from my ISP (Chicago, Illinois AT&T DSL). I don't think we can do anything from an Arch-perspective about this, so I'm going to close.

This report was a new mirror info request, we should not close it until all things (wiki, mirrorlist) are done.
Comment by Dan McGee (toofishes) - Wednesday, 11 February 2009, 21:38 GMT
No. This is not how a bug tracker should work. The title says this has to do with a Bulgarian mirror.

Open a new bug, please, if you feel there are still issues to be resolved with the mirrorlist issues.
