I am working on getting a project (namely eScreen) to work that uses the Evas libraries and it's included framebuffer libraries.
I saw that all it takes is "--enable-fb" in the autogen.sh line.

I hope you will consider this request =)

cheers Barde

PS: it would add less than ~20kb to the package

I am sorry for posting this here, but the link for "Bugs for community pkgs go here" is wrong and i didn't look closely enough. please move this to community packages or close it and i'll reopen one in the correct category

No problem. I moved this to the community tracker and fixed the
link on the AUR tracker. Thanks for the notice!

I'll add it on next build if it doesn't require extra deps.

btw, what is this eScreen thing you are working on ?

as far as my testing goes, it does not require extra deps. if you would --enable-directfb, that would require extra deps, but i know of no project so far (but there may of course be some) that needs evas and directfb, so not necessary.

eScreen (http://www.exactcode.de/site/open_source/escreen/) is "a sane bootsplash implementation" and I try to get the code (and accompanying scripts) in shape so we can use it on the chakra livecd (and of course it will go into AUR as soon as i can safely say that it will not brick the system)

if you're interested in further information, come to #chakra-devel on freenode or write me an email to heller_barde AT chakra-project DOT org
