Since the recent bluez update:
[2009-01-11 15:01] upgraded bluez (4.1-1 -> 4.25-1)
hidd does not work anymore. When I turn on my Logitech mouse, the bluetooth LED starts blinking (i.e. the device connectes), but hidd doesn't pick it up. hidd is running in server mode (hidd --server) and has started with no error messages.

When I reset the mouse and run "hidd --search" as root, the mouse is added and works until I turn it off again.

Can you paste /etc/conf.d/bluetooth somewhere please?

Haha, I solved that problem a few days ago: While hidd is apparently broken, it is also obsolete. The bluetoothd input plugin now takes care of my mouse and works.

However, I needed to use some python scripts from the bluez source tarball to somehow add the device to bluez, there are no GUI tools except for bluez-gnome which can do that right now (I tried simple-agent, but that only works with a pairing with PIN, but the mouse doesn't have a PIN. There was another script to "add" the device and mark it "trusted", but I can't find the name anymore).

Please report any scripts that deserve to be included in the package to geoffroy@archlinux.org
