DetailsDescription:
In this new version of htop (0.8.1) has been added the option to monitor tasks running inside Linux-VServer guests (in different namespaces/context) in a similar way of what vtop (a tool of util-vserver) does. Actually I use only Linux-VServer but i saw that htop, by version 0.7, already supports OpenVZ in this feature. Is it possible to implement the follow options in the build of the official package? --enable-vserver --enable-openvz They don't require any additional dep on the package so you are not required to have a VServer or OpenVZ patched kernel (or any additional userland programs from these projects). Additional info: htop-0.8.1 Thanks. |

But, as indicated in the ticket, the two options do not require additional dependencies (neither at runtime nor makedep... at least I'm sure about it for Linux-VServer since I use this software) plus this options implements new meters that aren't selected by default so IMO, given the non-invasiveness, it could be useful to have those meters selectable as an option in the official package at least for those who, like me, has installed servers in a OS-level virtualized environment.
