Description:

When wicd is updated via pacman the "active" in /etc/wicd/encryption/templates becomes overwritten. Thus one has to fill in his personal templates again after each update.

A better solution would be to use .pacnew instead of overwriting.

Thanks

What type of templates are you using?

I created the attached template for wifi at university.

I have to add its name after each update into "active"

I'm not sure why I was assigned to this. Vesa, you were going to take on wicd, correct?

Yeah. I added

backup=(etc/wicd/encryption/templates/active)
