I have a headless computer and my usb HP printer is connected to it. So I installed hplip and realized that it will install sane as dependency for hplip (and libgphoto2 and whatever as dep for sane) and gtk2 as dependency of ghostscript (and cairo and whatever as dep of gtk2). Then I removed sane and gtk2 packages and started to print. It works. So why do we have those deps? They should be optional I think. Additional info: * package version(s) hplip 2.8.10-2 and ghostscript 8.63-3 * config and/or log files etc. |
