Eclipse (extra/eclipse) should appear in GNOME/KDE 's application menu.
I think an eclipse.desktop file should be placed in /usr/share/applications (as well as an icon in /usr/share/icons)

added an attachment with the .desktop file.
Copy the file to /usr/share/applications and run update-desktop-database.

So for the PKGBUILD should copy the .desktop file.
And update-desktop-database should be run on install.
for example update-desktop-database 2&>1 /dev/null

Thanks! Will update the package today, uplink-permitting. Eclipse is a monster.

This is fixed in 3.0.2-2, which just hit the main site.

Can someone who uses gnome desktop confirm this is working as expected? I'll then close it.
