We've got more important items on the TODO list so I doubt this one will get any action. Furthermore, I think it's better to keep the TUR somewhat separate from the official repos. Anyhow, it's not that hard to look in 2 places instead of 1 when creating a PKGBUILD, and it's not the end of the world if you create something that already exists. Spending hours of work implementing something that will save a few people a few minutes of work doesn't sound very motivating.
