The complete path will be http://mirrors.gigenet.com/archlinux then? For the initial sync I recommend to use rsync from another mirror. (bandwidth of the master is limited)

If my list is correct the following mirros in the US or Canada provide rsync access:
rsync://mirror.rit.edu/archlinux/ rsync
rsync://mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/archlinux

Once I see an archlinux mirror folder pop up there, I'll add it to the mirrorlist.

Can you give me the proper rsync url and options and I'll add it.

Man I wish I knew. This page seems way too long and not necessarily the best at explaining: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Local_Mirror.

Dale, do you have any suggestions?

I still roughly use that script from the wiki on my local mirror... Can't say if the vsftpd part works as mine runs http access only.

69.65.40.19 has been granted rsync access.

I see that mirroring is now in place- before I set the URL for mirrors, is the http://mirrors.gigenet.com/archlinux/archlinux/ path intentional?
Comment by Dale Blount (dale) - Sunday, 04 January 2009, 16:36 GMT
Dan, where are you seeing that?
Comment by Dan McGee (toofishes) - Sunday, 04 January 2009, 16:41 GMT
30 minutes ago you would have saw the same...looks like it got fixed. :)

Added URL to the pacman mirrorlist. I'll probably push another package out soon.
