DetailsThe pulseaudio package in community is out-of-date. They contain version 0.9.10 of pulseaudio, while upstream's latest is 0.9.13. Given the significant progress made upstream between these versions I feel an update is in order.

0.9.13, just like 11 and 12, is very unstable. It crashes a lot and has a number of other problems. The main dev works for redhat, and applies about twenty patches to their release. He says that, even though patches are often critical, a proper release takes too much time for him, so he doesn't update often.
Too bad we don't like patches very much, and updating the package at least once a week is out of the question as you can imagine. 0.9.10 works fine, even though it's missing the most recent features, so I'll stick with it until a stabler version comes out. I have good hopes on 0.9.14, having a look at the development process.
In the meantime, if someone is interested in seeing 0.9.13 crash I can provide my personal build. You can find the necessary patches on redhat's website. I think I'll release a new 0.9.10 build in a few days to address a couple of bug reports, otherwise don't expect very much.

Anyway, I'll keep this bug open because another issue has been reported by Eric and I want to fix that one.
