There is no *.desktop file in the wireshark package and I think that, since wireshark is a graphical tool, it should have a graphical way to launch it. Besides, I don't think that using a console or Alt+F2 is the best way to run it. Thus, I encourage you to add a desktop file to the wireshark package when possible. I hope you listen to this request.
