DetailsDescription:
elisa does not start at all. it just shows me a black screen and a handful of tracebacks. the only way to close it is to kill it. I tracked it down to the module twisted.web2 missing. I installed twisted-web2 from AUR and it somewhat worked. I can navigate and all but as soon as i press escape (e.g to go up one layer in the menu) it simply crashes. If I browse around a little, there seem to be quite some other modules missing like python-dbus and something about coherence which i couldn't track down which archlinux package it would belong to (if any)... So I think someone with more experience in python matters than me should look at the forced dependencies and at the "recommended" dependencies. I have no previous experience with elisa, so i can't say with which version this strange behaviour was introduced. Oh and it happens on both my computers so it's probably not just something I fscked up on my arch installation. Additional info: * package version(s) elisa-base 0.5.20-1 elisa-plugins 0.5.20-1 twisted 8.1.0-2 twisted-web2 8.1.0-1 pygtk 2.13.0-2 python-pigment 0.3.9-1 gstreamer0.10-python 0.10.13-2 setuptools 0.6c9-2 python-cssutils 0.9.5.1-2 pil 1.1.6-5 pyopenssl 0.8-1 * config and/or log files etc. no/default config without module web2: (I killed the process with -9, else it dumps a whole lot of cleaning up stuff on the console) http://pastebin.com/f2097c1e0 with module web2: (only start it, wait for it to load the menu and then press escape to quit again.) http://pastebin.com/d6e888832 Steps to reproduce: 1. install elisa 2. start elisa somewhat solved version: 1. install elisa 2. install twisted-web2 from AUR 3. start elisa 4. go into any category 5. try to get to main menu by pressing escape --> crash |

You have to have this in order for elisa to work corrently:
export PYTHONPATH=$PWD/elisa-core:$PWD/elisa-plugins:$PYTHONPATH
You also have to build it with twisted-web2 installed. I think thats part of the problem with elisa not working right.
I hope this helps.
elisa works good for me without export PYTHONPATH, try the 0.5.22 and let me know.
thanks
Well, since 0.5.22 (and twisted-web2 installed for the first time) elisa starts without problem.
