Description:
if start the PC while all syslog service was disabled, minilogd will executed and running forever and record many logs increasely, until there is no more free memory space and the system crashed.

Additional info:
initscripts 2008.09-2

Steps to reproduce:
disable any service which provides syslog, and reboot the computer, minilogd will use more and more memory.

This is not a memory leak, it is intended behavior. minilogd holds all logs lines until some syslogger snages the resources. It appears to max out at 200000 log lines. Line sizes appear to be 8192 bytes (8k). So yeah, looks like it maxes out at a stupidly obscene value of about 1.5 GB

I'll fiddle with the maxes here...
