zcrypt.zip needs downloaded an extracted from the same place the zip source comes from. I think it then automatically builds with encryption support, so that zip -e actually works.

It seems to already have some crypt files in the src dir. Is it still not working? Maybe this bug is just old

no, I think those are for UNencryption. A second src file is required to support adding encryption to archives.

zip -e on a current system still reports "encryption not supported".
