Details

Description:
Per http://archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/qtparted/, qtparted has the following dependencies:

* jfsutils
* ntfsprogs
* parted>=1.8.8
* progsreiserfs
* qt3
* xfsprogs

qtparted shouldn't require the filesystem related tools; instead a message should be shown during installation, that other stuff might need to be installed to achieve full functionality. Like the one shown when installing gparted:

NOTE:
==> The following can be installed for maximum
functionality:
==> e2fsprogs for ext2/ext3 partitions
==> dosfstools for fat16/32 partitions
==> jfsutils for jfs partitions
==> ntfsprogs for ntfs partitions
==> reiserfsprogs for reiser partitions
==> reiser4progs for reiser partitions
==> xfsprogs for xfs partitions

Rationale: Doing away with the dependencies would make qtparted "confirm" to the "layout" of gparted. And it wouldn't force the user to install useless cruft he's not going to use (eg. why install jfsutils, if the user doesn't want to use jfs).

Additional info:
* package version(s)

qtparted 0.4.5-11

Merry christmas tpowa, here's an updated PKGBUILD for you with the fstools moved to optdepends and the rest of the PKGBUILD cleaned up a bit.
   PKGBUILD (1.9 KiB)
