Description:
In the Gnome shutdown dialog and gnome-power-manager applet menu, there are no options to suspend or hibernate, even if the user is in the power group. This is due to missing files in hal 0.5.11-4. This bug is apparently fixed in hal 0.5.11-7 (Testing version), but stuff like this really should not be broken in Current. Additional info: * Gnome 2.24 packages, hal 0.5.11-4 * see this thread: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=58047 Steps to reproduce: Install Gnome and gnome-power-manager. gnome-power-manager will not work. Workaround: In the mean time, /etc/PolicyKit/PolicyKit.conf can be edited to include the missing config stuff (as per the above thread), but this is not a permanent solution. |
