DetailsDescription:
pdnsd cannot read and write its cache. As a result, DNS caching does not work. Additional info: pdnsd 1.2.7-1 /var/log/messages contains: pdnsd-1.2.7-par starting. Could not open disk cache file /var/cache/pdnsd/pdnsd.cache: Permission denied ls -l /var/cache/ | grep pdnsd drwxr-x--- 2 nobody root 1024 2008-11-08 14:23 pdnsd ls -l /var/cache/pdnsd/ total 0 -rw-r----- 1 nobody root 0 2008-11-08 14:23 pdnsd.cache Since pdnsd runs under pdnsd user, fixing permissions (chown -R pdnsd:pdnsd /var/cache/pdnsd/) solves the bug, it just needs to be done in package. Steps to reproduce: Just start the daemon. |
