There is a bug in last nvidia-96xx drivers (ver.96.43.09-1). This driver has font rendering problems on cards - GeForce2 MX/MX 400 and also other(geforce 4 mx 460,GeForce Ti 4200,...) - see attached picture. There seems to be same problem also in nvidia-173xx drivers with GeForce FX 5600. Maybe there is one possibility how to "solve" it for now - by enabling antialiasing and subpixel hinting of fonts. please see also: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=58594 Additional info: * package version(s) nvidia-96xx 96.43.09-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: |

I don't know how many users are affected by this problem, but you may for example to release add stable drivers (96.43.07) not beta (96.43.09) from nvidia...
