I think after the latest big update (Kernel and the move of many testing-packages) I cannot select 'Suspend' (to RAM) anymore in GNOMEs shutdown dialog.

Sorry that I didn't dig into this further tonight, which information do you need?

Kernel is 2.6.27-ARCH.

As you may have expected it does also not work when closing the lid.

So it doesn't work at all anymore.

Upgrade to hal from testing. I moved policykit to extra, the old policykit had a hal config file that shouldn't be there.

Grabbing things from testing is no good solution. IMHO, a "quick fix" release of extra/hal seems the best way I can see.

This issue is really confusing and annoying for laptop users. For me, the severity should be high.

The best fix is moving hal from testing to extra, but that breaks things for non-GNOME users, that's why it's in testing.
